Self Changes and enhancing self-efficacy

1). A person sense of self changes throughout their lifetime. It changes as they interact with their environment. There are many significant events or experiences that create change. The experience of attending college and the information we learn in college is one example.

A). Can you please help me with another example and explain how a college education will change or modify a person self-schema.

2). Throughout our lives, we are measured by the people and circumstances around us. However, the most important measurement is our own. How we view and feel about ourselves impacts our level of life satisfaction.

Much of our world is measured, intrinsically, by our self-efficacy.

B). How can we enhance our own self-efficacy and the self-efficacy of others?

1). A person’s sense of self changes as they interact with their environments. An example from my life of how attending college and the information we learn in college changed and empowered me occurs in terms of the fine arts. During college, I was exposed to painting, sculptures, operas, plays, independent films, and many other genres that I had not previously experienced. As a result of the cultural immersion, I am now more of an “artsy fan” today in my late 30s. My sense of self altered from a “redneck” depiction of myself growing up in a rural, sheltered area to much more cultured.
