STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE

The occurrence and the inability to definitely heal wounds effects the patient’s quality of life, is a significant financial burden on the healthcare system and an indication on the quality of care provided. A team approach to wound care management is not a new concept, but currently not used within the author’s current workplace environment. The practice is to employ individual wound care clinicians to manage patient’s wounds.
