Ebola first caused an outbreak in West Africa, and then moved its way to other countries, such as the United States. Without the Ebola vaccine being developed by the Public Health Agency of Canada, the outbreak would be spiraling out of control (The College of Physicians of Philadelphia). This vaccine has saved many lives in West Africa, although it was not developed there, Canada was able to provide a cure for other countries. This and many other health issues will continue to arise, and that is why it is imperative that each country cooperates with each other in order to save lives faster and strengthen health systems worldwide. Countries should communicate with each other in regard to any diseases they feel have the potential of being a threat and might affect many. Countries should also communicate about any development in medicines, treatments, and preventive measures for diseases such as HIV, or Chronic Illnesses. By working together, global health could be achieved.
