Abortion is a highly controversial topic in the modern society, there are numerous contradicting views regarding this delicate debate. Personally, I consider abortion as the deliberate termination of life which is equivalent to murder of an unborn human being. Life begins at conception not birth. About 18 days after conception, a fetus heart is formed and heartbeat commence at 21 days. Abortion involves stoppage of the fetus’ heartbeat which legally constitutes death. As such, birth is a stage in human development, nothing more. Also, by the end of the 8^th week, the fetus’ sex organs begin to develop and by the third month, the limbs are already in place, meaning that the unborn human is conscious of its body.
